TBEA Smart Start
The Blueprint Empowerment Academy Youth Development and Education Program equips middle and high school youth in nationwide with the tools to overcome adversity and thrive. Through a dynamic blend of STEAM education, life skills training, financial literacy, and career development, the program fosters personal growth, academic success, and future readiness.

The Blueprint Empowerment Academy seeks to expand its proven youth development and education program in response to deep-rooted disparities facing middle and high school youth ages 12–19 beginning in Los Angeles County. Many of these young people, especially those from low-income or marginalized communities, are navigating adolescence without access to the critical support needed to thrive.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)—including trauma, neglect, and household
dysfunction—have lasting effects on their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Without intervention, these youth are more likely to struggle academically, socially, and behaviorally. The Academy’s comprehensive model integrates mental health support, academic enrichment, personal development, workforce preparation, and family engagement—ensuring a whole-person approach to youth development. By addressing ACEs with trauma-informed care and empowering youth with life skills and guidance, TBEA Smart Start fosters resilience, purpose, and long-term success. There is an urgent need to scale this model to provide consistent, structured support for youth facing compounded barriers across the county.
